International Solar Manufacturer – Rapid Workforce Ramp
One of the largest international solar manufacturers needed 1,100 employees in just five months. The Imagine Group deployed a world-class contingent workforce program — interviewing up to 100 candidates a day to meet a mandated staffing deadline.
Challenge
One of the largest international solar manufacturers had to ramp up and scale their business fast, needing 1,100 employees within only five months due to a mandated staffing level increase and deadline. They came to The Imagine Group with a goal that had to be achieved, but no approach or objectives on how to accomplish the task at hand.
The company was also in need of a staffing firm that could withstand the level of interviews and screening that would be necessary for this many new employees.
Solution
The Imagine Group offered a world-class contingent workforce management program that leveraged the community, new jobs, and resources. This strategy included on-site presence and mass visibility to candidates who were interested in this type of work.
The short-term objective was to interview up to 100 people a day for multiple open shifts and positions. Once candidates were hired, it was also important that The Imagine Group could provide clear communication about cancellations and payroll. A dedicated hotline was created for candidates to call, allowing The Imagine Group to address their concerns, issues, and payment questions directly.
Outcome
The combined recruitment and marketing strategy quickly delivered strong results. Within the first month, Imagine successfully hired 250 hourly employees—already halfway to the hourly hiring goal. In the first six months, 75 salaried employees were also onboarded, building out the leadership and support teams critical to operations. Beyond the numbers, the marketing efforts helped ease community concerns and reposition the client as a positive contributor to the region. Together, these efforts not only set the foundation for reaching the full staffing goal of 600 employees but also helped the client launch its new facility with stronger community alignment and an elevated employer brand.
